Product features

Physical and chemical properties:

White, slightly pink crystalline powder. Density 2.95g/cm ³, The melting point begins to decompose at 850 ℃. Easy to dissolve in water, insoluble in ethanol. Its aqueous solution is nearly neutral. Starting to lose crystalline water above 200 ℃, losing most of the crystalline water at 280 ℃, and losing all of the crystalline water around 500 ℃. At 700 ℃, it becomes an anhydrous salt melt, begins to decompose at 850 ℃, and completely decomposes at around 1050 ℃. Depending on the conditions, sulfur trioxide, sulfur dioxide, or oxygen are released, and the remaining black insoluble manganese tetroxide is completely decomposed at around 1150 ℃. When the temperature is below 27 ℃, the solubility increases with the increase of temperature, and then gradually decreases with the increase of temperature, reaching only 0.7% at 200 ℃.

Due to its easy deliquescence, its scope of application is limited. Manganese sulfate is non flammable and irritating. Inhalation, ingestion, or transdermal absorption are harmful and have irritating effects. Long term inhalation of this product's dust can cause chronic manganese poisoning, with early symptoms of neurasthenia syndrome and neurological dysfunction, and later symptoms of tremor paralysis syndrome. Harmful to the environment and can cause pollution to water bodies.

Main use:

① Feed additives provide trace mineral elements to animal bodies, which can promote the development of livestock and poultry and have a fattening effect. It mainly exists in the mitochondria of the pituitary gland, hepatopancreas, and bone, and is a component of various enzymes. Manganese participates in the hematopoietic process in vivo, promotes the oxidation of intracellular fat, and can prevent atherosclerosis. Manganese deficiency can cause growth retardation, osteoporosis, and dyskinesia.

② Used as a trace element fertilizer and pesticide raw material in agriculture, it is a catalyst for plants to synthesize chlorophyll. Applying an appropriate amount of manganese sulfate solution can promote the growth of various economic crops and increase yield.

Expected effect of manganese sulfate seed mixing: Mixing seeds with manganese sulfate solution can increase 1000 grain weight and yield by 10% to 15%.

Seed mixing method: Before sowing, dissolve 0.2 kilograms of manganese sulfate in 0.9 kilograms of clean water, and then mix 50 kilograms of wheat seeds. As one of the important trace element fertilizers, it can be used as a base fertilizer, seed soaking, seed mixing, topdressing, and foliar spraying, which can promote crop growth and increase yield.

③ A drying agent for processing ink and paint, a raw material for manganese naphthenate (used as a drying agent for paint and can be used as an oxidation catalyst) solution, and a catalyst for synthesizing fatty acids;

④ The production raw materials for electrolytic manganese and the raw materials for manufacturing other manganese salts. Also used in batteries, smelting catalysts, analytical reagents, mordants, additives, pharmaceutical excipients, etc;

⑤ Paper making, ceramic coatings, pharmaceutical industry, ore flotation, etc.

⑥ Manganese sulfate is a permitted food fortifier. According to Chinese regulations, it can be used as food for infants and young children, with a dosage of 1.32-5.26mg/kg; 0.92-3.7mg/kg in dairy products; 0.5-1.0mg/kg in the drink.
